GENERAL
SURVEY FOR THE MONTH. Other
squadron was occupied itself on Bailey bridge training during the whole of
this month. Details of the programme or included with the original of this
diary, although more than often construction lagged journey behind
schedule. The reason was for this was partially unexpected snags (which
occurred the T/T construction and were in landing the broken span) also in
torrential rain 4 two or three days and the breakdown of the M.E. on site. It
may be said also that at this stage of the test war phase, the thoughts of
the men turn more towards the future then to Bailey bridge training
--------------------------although a steady output of work have been
maintained for the most part. It has been necessary more than before to
ensure strict supervision in order to maintain the impetus of work. The
party working at the holding Denmark rest camp have continued under S/Sgt
Williams and now have a det at Copenhagen working for the be B.M.M.
Frequent visitors by a L.O. from the Sqn (Lt Acers) have
maintained contact. There has been a such a shortage of officers during the month owing to leave, courses, etc. |

and preparations commenced to backload and maintain all the equipment it
transpired that HANNOVER was to be the destination , in conjunction the

in all of which 2 we're half tracks whose bogies had ceased. The
final week of the month was spent in getting settled in to camp, erection
tasks, etc. The weather to start off was exceedingly bad Two
troops were engaged daily at the “Woodham” site for the ETE unloading
and assembling stores for the bridge training site. Captain Pitt Weston MC RE took over duties 2i/c see on 1 July 46.
