Notes:

[1] Bing Maps is the new name of Microsoft Local Live. When using the system remove the Welcome box by clicking on the < to the left of the map. You can reposition the map by dragging it and change to an aerial view or hybrid and zoom in and out using the tools in the "2D 3 D box". To go to the clearest view place your mouse of the icon and select Zoom To: Street. For Aerial views click on Aerial and then select Aerial or Birds Eye, depending upon the location of the site. To view from different angles use the Birds Eye function and the options on the vertical part of tool bar to rotate the picture. It is recommended that the 3D option is not used with these locations. Under the Road menu an Ordnance Survey Map option is available which may contain which may also be of interest.

[3] Billeted in the docks area of the town, in area of Boal Street, St. Margaret's Lane, Priory Lane. Originally HQ Company were billeted near the Dock, but later moved into the town - No specific locations known at present.

[4] Billeted all over Hingham in 1944 - with officers' mess at Seamere, and other messes at Hingham Hall. Hingham Hall was almost entirely demolished after the war, leaving only one wing, which remained until sometime in the 1970's when that too was knocked down to make way for housing estate. Seamere is still in existance.
